Government Schemes Supported by Springvale Dental Clinic

Springvale dental government schemes

Springvale Dental Clinic is a dental practice that offers a broad range of dental procedures. We use the latest technology to ensure that our patients are comfortable and relaxed. Good oral hygiene is essential for the well-being of our patients, which is why we focus on personalized patient care. Our team of dentists and specialists is committed to using their knowledge and dental skills to improve patient’s oral health as well as quality of life. We know the importance of routine dental check-ups, especially for children, which is why we are reasonably priced. We also understand that the cost of routine dental exams and check-ups can be a burden to the family, which is why we accept vouchers from various public dental services.

On that note, we support the below Government schemes and can provide patients with Dental Treatments eligible under these schemes;

  • Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a governmental program that functions under Medicare. It applies to children aged between 2-17 years. To be eligible for this program, your child must be:

  • Within the aforementioned age bracket
  • Qualified for Medicare with Springvale Dental Clinic
  • From a family that receives Family Tax Benefits Part A, Double Orphan Payment, or Parenting Payment for at least that calendar year

Children who are eligible can receive dental benefits to a limit of $1000 for a two-year calendar period.

The services covered under this program include dental screening, tooth cleaning, fissure sealing, root canal treatment, fillings, extraction, and partial dentures. Cosmetic and orthodontics dental work is not covered under this program.

Parents and guardians can check the eligibility of their children by contacting the Department of Human Services.

Make sure to check that the dental need you request is provided by your card issuer before making a booking with us.

  • Victorian Emergency Dental Scheme

The Victorian Emergency Scheme (VEDS) is available for any person confirmed by the CDA to have a legitimate and active VEDS voucher. Nevertheless, in special circumstances, we accept patients with telephone vouchers from CDA when gauging their eligibility.

VEDS vouchers are valid for one month, so should you provide an expired voucher, we may transfer you to other alternative programs. The same applies to patients who have requested an extension for their voucher validity which is not yet affected.

Dental services captured under this scheme are limited to the symptoms presented within the Voucher’s cap. In case of further dental needs, we may refer you to the CDA for authorization.

Please Note: We Don’t Do Denture Vouchers.
