However, the extent of its coverage can be somewhat confusing. It is important to note that though the program allows you to access affordable healthcare services, it does not cover the cost of all services. The \u201cGrow up Smiling with CDBS\u201d is covered by Medicare. Eligible families can access up to $1000* worth of dental services in the form of preventative and basic dental treatments. The CDBS program began in 2014, and since then, over three million children across Australia have been able to access basic dental services. The program provides children with a range of basic dental services such as cleaning, filling, x-rays, root canal treatment and extraction, and fissure sealing. The benefits of the program are limited to necessary treatments and not cosmetic works or orthodontics.<\/p>\n<p>Children must be between the age of 2 and 17 to be eligible.
